Tony Hastings is the name.

I live in the UK, married with 2 grown up daughters and too much time on my hands.  Thank you so much for visiting my blog and coming to this page to find out what I am all about.  I am the brains (Ha Ha) and the brawn behind the Top 10 Blog which I created early in 2010 when my daughters partner suggested that blogging would be something I would enjoy.

Thinking that I was a bit long in the tooth for that blogging lark, I dipped my toe in the water with a blog intended to be a vehicle for listing my Top 10 favourites in all sorts of subjects and some random musings.  Little did I imagine how much fun this was going to turn out to be and how it would take on a life all of it’s own.

So how did I get from there to here and, this is really what you came here for, what is the blog about and what do you and I get out of it?

Twitter has turned out to be the catalyst for the direction the blog has taken.  I soon discovered the joy of connecting with a rich variety of people from around the world and thought it would be fun to acknowledge the ones I enjoyed connecting with using my Top 10 format, this will always be the foundation stone of what I do.  Then I asked one or two of these people to write a guest Top 10 for me which they readily did and this has opened the door to a breadth and depth of fantastic quality content that’s hard to match.

So now you will find my regular Top Twitter People lists, amazing guest articles on all sorts of topics, some of my own writings mainly on my Social Media journey, fun interviews and the occasional poll.  I love thinking up new ideas so watch out, you never can tell what might turn up in the future.

And what’s in it for me and what are my values?  I believe in being straightforward, honest and positive with people.  I just love the buzz I get from highlighting the work of other people and from getting a good response to my own pathetic efforts either on this blog or as a guest blogger elsewhere.  I have a hazy plan to maybe make a little money from the blog in time but at the moment it is mainly just for the pleasure of doing it. You may find some affiliate links and posts but these will be clearly indicated.

I was recently featured as one of The 50 Top Dogs on Twitter so I must be getting something right!
