Top 10 Women Bloggers Who Inspire Me
Inspiration is such a subjective topic, isn’t it? When I sat down to write this post my mind flew to about a thousand (it seemed) blogs I love and admire, each inspiring in a different way.
I’ve compiled my top 10 list based on how and why they inspire me. Some of them are famous. Some are hidden treasures. I encourage you to explore each and every one and hope that they will give you something truly special, as they have for me.
1. Simply Recipes, by Elise Bauer
Every recipe on her site has been personally tested by Elise, her family or friends. I love the simplicity and order and it reminds me of the great pleasure I take in cooking something warm and aromatic for my family.
2. Woulda Shoulda, by Mir Kamin
Ever since 2004 Mir has been blogging about her evolving experiences as a modern woman. What inspires me about this blog is that she’s a Freelance writer who sort of keeps me company throughout my days that are mostly spent… writing!
3. Wagner Writes, by Claire Wagner
Claire is one of those people who researches relentlessly and pursues her freelance writing craft with an unparalleled passion. I feel like “Tickle Me Elmo” next to her precise prose, yet her posts inspire me and enlarge my frame of reference every time. She’s a treasure.
4. Grandma Mary, by Andrea Vahl
You’ve never met anybody like Grandma Mary, the Social Edutainer. Andrea Vahl created this lovable, informative persona years ago and will be combining “their” pages soon over at Andrea’s site. Her lighthearted, well researched, posts inspire me to stay informed.
5. Kommein, by Deborah Ng
If you enjoy un-common common sense given in a straight forward way, stop by Kommein. Deb inspires me with her consistent ability to finely crafts messages that hit the balance between being hard and fluffy-bunny.
6. Brass Tack Thinking, by Amber Naslund
Amber writes beautifully. About social media. Very few people do that well, I believe. Her down to earth, yet well crafted style always leaves me inspired.
7. Eureka Janet, by Eureka Janet Alexander
Sharp savvy and irrepressible wit come together in one-of-a-kind Janet Alexander. Her genuine, disarming charm inspires me to let my light shine online without reservation.
8. Vegemite Vixen, by Vicki Jeffels
Few writers have the ability to paint a colorful, evocative word picture the way Vicki does. Her candid storytelling keeps me rapt every time and inspires me to be a better storyteller.
9. Home Ec 101, by Heather Solos
It’s a well known fact: Simple isn’t easy. Yet Heather has created a mecca with “real skills for real people with real lives.” I’m inspired by her fluff-free, common sense approach to the arts that make life run more smoothly.
10. Successful Blog, by Liz Strauss
Listen to Liz for more than a minute and you realize there’s somebody wonderfully insightful and practical – and genuinely nice. Her hugely successful blog inspires me to stay ever faithful to solid business basics.
Many thanks to Lori for putting her list of amazing women bloggers together, we hope you enjoy connecting with them and exploring their work. Please do let us know who inspires you in the blogging world.
