I am delighted to publish the first guest Top 10. American TV series have become increasingly popular since the first imports appeared in the UK in the 50′ and 60′s. I well remember the first such as Dragnet and Highway Patrol but I think a more contemporary view is needed. I leave you in the capable hands of Ruth. Please let me have any other suggested Top 10 lists that you have.

There have been so many versions of the TV detective that it is difficult to choose your favourites. I tend to favour the home grown (UK) versions as you can see as I think they generally have more charm and subtlety than their US cousins. I am sure many will disagree with this view, let me know what you think.
