The Top 10 Blog Interview With… @2morrowKnight

It’s time for the latest in the Interview Series and this week it gives me enormous pleasure to welcome a man who will already be well known to many of you, Sean aka @2morrowKnight.

A very familiar face on Twitter, a great connector with and promoter of others, Sean can also be found as a regular Blogger for @HuffingtonpostTo find out more about this #mustfollow guy be sure to check out his excellent 2morrowKnight’s Awesome Blog.

If you were stranded on a desert island and were allowed one luxury item what would it be and why?

Hmm? Probably satellite TV. I need to know what’s happening in the world: Ireland, India, Ivory Coast, Indonesia, and so on. If there is news, I want to know about it. I might be stranded on a desert island, but I would be greatly informed about events in the world. You have to stay connected.

Do you have any phobias?

Not really. No big ones. I’m probably one of the most fearless people you’ll ever meet.

Who inspires you and why?

My mom. She’s a self-starter, and appreciates action-oriented people. I get my passion for food, sustainability, cultural diversity, and writing from her. You would love to know her. Just an extraordinary woman.

Which animal would you most like to be and why?

A bird. More specifically, an eagle. An amazing and elegant animal. I’m a social butterfly so flying birds strongly appeal to me. Eagles rock!

What is the one thing in life that irritates you the most and why?

Hate. My family raised me to respect differences, and whenever possible, work to bridge those differences. This is why I feel sorry for people who hate based on religion, race, ethnicity, gender, etc. Unfortunately, there are people who value that. But I value cooperation and peace. Hate is easy. Love takes work, but when it’s clicking, it’s a much greater force that hate.

If you could have a superpower what would it be and why?

X-Ray vision. I was a big Superman fan as a boy. I thought it was the coolest thing.

What do you think you will be doing in 10 years time?

Still writing, and probably traveling to a different country each month while running an international charity.

What is your favorite guilty pleasure?

This may surprise people because I am such a serious and conscientious person. But, I am still a huge fan of the MTV show JackAss. I’ve seen all three movies too. The creator, comedian Johnny Knoxville, is a genius. I sure hope I don’t regret sharing this.

Which historical character would you most like to meet and why?

Wow. So many. Maybe two I can share. I’ve expressed great admiration for Jeannette Rankin. She was the first woman elected to the U.S. Congress back in 1916. That was incredible because women didn’t even have the right to vote. I also would love to meet Martin Luther King Jr. His great writings and legendary activism gained him supporters from all over the world. In fact, Jeannette Rankin, in her old age, was one of his enthusiastic supporters. King and Rankin were just amazing.

Can you tell us one thing about yourself which would surprise people who know you?

I collect rare books. Mainly in history. I made good money in the mid 90s by finding rare books in thrift stores and selling them to book buyers for a greater profit.

Huge thanks from me to Sean for agreeing to open up about his inner thoughts. Be sure to Subscribe to the blog using the buttons at the top of the page to make sure that you don’t miss next weeks victim.
