If you were stranded on a desert island and were allowed one luxury item what would it be and why?

A mobile phone with a connection to the internet and a solar chargeable battery… Yeah yeah… lame I know but come on I mean an island is cool and interesting for a couple of days. The first three days you freak out and build a house to sleep in. Then you are worried about food until you find the dates and coconuts and know that you will not die of hunger.

The next three days you sleep all the hours you could not sleep in your stressed out modern life. Then you enjoy the silence and philosophize about your situation. Two days you enjoy the view and nature and then you need to tell someone about all that stuff… and there is where the mobile comes in handy. ;-D

Do you have any phobias?

I soooooo want to say no, I am a badass…. BUT… I have two phobias. One is a common one: I have arachnophobia…. I am really scared of spiders… But I am very proud to tell you that I do not kill them!  However much the hairs on my arms stand on end, I catch them with a cup and cardboard, I give them a name (yeah names… usually Hassan, Berta, John, Fatima, Ruedi and so on… LOL) and toss them out of the window with the best wishes for their journey and a plea not to come into my apartment again.

The second one is not so common: I am afraid to walk underneath a chandelier. I try to avoid them if possible. Now that may sound crazy but the reason I got that Phobia is even more bizarre… I inherited it from my mother. Just to clarify,  neither me nor my mother ever saw one fall off the ceiling. But not all fears are rational… It causes some problems when I have to walk into posh hotels and restaurants and I would walk not in the middle on the carpet but next to it…

Who inspires you and why?

From the celebrities, I am inspired by Kristin Davis and her engagement and love for animals. She has great passion and actively helps.

Then Bret Michaels for giving so many Diabetic Children hope and courage that they can have a great life, despite the illness.

And from the ‘normal’ people I am inspired by Gina Stark aka @SuuperG. She is such positive wonderful person with a beautiful soul.

Which animal would you most like to be and why?

A cat of course… I could and would be a real pest to my owner and I would only eat, sleep and get caressed. I could scratch doctors and everybody would be understanding that I am just scared and that it is not my fault. ;-p Meeeeow…

What is the one thing in life that irritates you the most and why?

When people spread untrue rumors. I am myself a victim of such rumors and it is sad and infuriating and I often feel helpless against it. It is so useless and people who have nothing else to do other than spread hateful lies about others are the lowest of the low.

If you could have a superpower what would it be and why?

I would want to have the power to heal. I would heal all living beings…There is so much suffering.

What do you think you will be doing in 10 years time?

Apart from stalking my kids on every possible social media? I will travel and be happy. Sounds like a good plan to me.

What is your favourite guilty pleasure?

Eating sushi, watching crime investigation TV series (stop laughing!) and reading mangas…

You are holding a dinner party and you can invite 3 people (living or historical), who would you invite and why?

Hayao Miyazaki the Japanese Manga artist because I simply love his stories and I am convinced he would be a very interesting person to eat dinner with.

Siddhārtha Gautama the founder of buddhism. Because I believe he was an incredible person, his knowledge and understanding of how life interacts and is connected is inspiring.

Ashley Judd just for being a cool, intelligent and pretty woman.

Can you tell us one thing about yourself which would surprise people who know you?

I daydream a lot.
