Handcent

This is in my opinion the best looking 3rd party application when it comes to either SMS or MMS’s. Your able to customize everything from making it look like its using an iPhone text messenger interface to the Android one. Your able to change everything from the bubble of the text’s to text messages your receive and send out. Handcent also has it where your able to on all next SMS/MMS to have pop-up with out having to use another application like the others need. Also in the Android market your able to change the font in it with add-on’s.

Barcode Scanner

This application is a MUST. Not only are you able to scan bar code’s you see when your in the market to find out prices of that product and other places. Your also able to scan QR codes for applications for the Android market so all you have to do is scan the QR hit the link and you’ll be sent to the market to download it. Extremely simple where all you have to do is open application scan the bar code/QR and it does the rest for you.

Twicca

This is by far my favorite Twitter application for a number of reasons. 1 it doesn’t look like a 14 year old Twitter application like some other ones do. There are additional plug-in’s your able to download for it if you like, like the ability to use TwitPic for your pictures. Your able to go into settings and make it so all your Tweets end with a signature. Every option for either Mentions, DM, create new Tweet, Refresh are all on the bottom in clear view. While in the main area if you have a mention it highlights it in gray.

EStrong File Explorer

This File Explorer has the best GUI and is very simply to use and does everything you could want with a none Rooted phone or even a Rooted phone. Your able to differ from Icons, List, and Details. You are able to set up a FTP server, a LAN and even a Bluetooth to contact your phone to, to transfer files from and to. This is the easiest to maneuver around out of all the file manager’s out there

tAttachApkInstaller

Anyone who receives Applications via emails would need this Application. What it does is allow you to now only pull those Apps off the email so you can install them but also be able to send Applications as well. This App runs in the background so you wont even notice it until you need it which is nice.

Shazam

For music lovers out there this is one of the first App’s to download. What it does is you open the App press Tag me and it will listen to the song playing and give you the info for it. Not only will it give you Name of the song and Artist but at the bottom will give you links to there website and YouTube video for that song.

Dolphin Browser

This browser does it all Multi-Touch, send what page your on to Twitter, SMS, Email, Facebook, Twitter Application your using, any note app you may have but also WordPress. You are able to change the user Agent from Android, iPhone, and Desktop to make it so you can have a full fledge browsing experience or a limited one based on the one you choice. While going on a website/page that has a RSS feed you’ll be able to save it.

Fandango

For looking up movie times and trailers this is what everyone should be using. While others try this one does. Your able to not only view movies and get info on them but also buy your tickets right from your phone in an easy laid-out process.

Easy Note

For those times in which you are out and you need to write something down so you don’t forget this is perfect or if your wanting to make a shopping list for when you go to the market. When you first open the Application your given folders in which you can organize your notes or just keep them in one single area. I’ve tried others and they all fail for one reason or another and this one just does everything.

Robo Defense

The most addicting game by far on Android. This is a tower defense type game which you are trying to stop the enemy from getting into your home. Multiple levels with multiple types of enemy keeps you trying to figure out how to stop them. Through out the game your able to upgrade your stats as well as gain new things to combat the enemy. However one of the best features of this game many people wont see and that’s, that the game saves everything to your SD Card as a back-up in case you wipe your phone or get a new one so you don’t have to start all over again.
Many thanks to Alldroid for producing this great list.
